We would like to congratulate Fed Chairman
Greenspan for finally admitting this week that there
are "a lot of local bubbles", in the U.S. real estate
market. Although he qualified those comments by
denying the existence of a "national" real estate
bubble, we are pleased to note that finally the Federal
Reserve is also expressing genuine concern about
this topic. We firmly believe that the entire U.S.
housing market is at the peak of a MEGA BUBBLE
and if/when this bubble bursts, it will make the 2000-
2002 bear market in stocks seem like a picnic in the
park. There are far too many people who have taken
on far too much debt by falling prey to the self-serving
propaganda of the real estate and mortgage banking
industries. Many Wall Street firms and the Asian
central banks have also contributed to this bubble by
helping keep long-term interest rates artificially low.
